Volunteer Youth Club Support Volunteer – SEND Socials Birmingham

SEND Socials Birmingham CIC is looking for friendly, enthusiastic, and compassionate volunteers to support their youth club sessions for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), held on Tuesdays in Weoley Castle.

SEND Socials Birmingham provides inclusive social opportunities, activities, and support for children and young people with additional needs and their families across Birmingham. Their aim is to create safe, welcoming environments where young people can build confidence, develop friendships, and enjoy experiences that are accessible to everyone.

About the Role

As a volunteer, you will help support youth club sessions designed for young people aged 11–16 with additional needs. Sessions include a variety of engaging activities such as games, arts and crafts, sports, social activities, and themed sessions that encourage independence, confidence, and peer interaction.

Volunteers may help to:

  • Welcome and support young people during sessions
  • Encourage participation in activities and social interaction
  • Help set up and tidy away equipment and activities
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and positive environment
  • Work alongside staff and families to support attendees where needed
  • Build positive relationships with young people and the wider SEND community

No previous experience is required, just a positive attitude, patience, reliability, and a willingness to learn. Training and support will be provided.

    We're helping Siraj address societal inequalities through the  power of sport.

    Through Birmingham United, Siraj provides safe and positive opportunities to young people to help them grow, feel empowered and build a brighter future.

    We're helping justin help vulnerable people rebuild  their lives one step at a time.

    Justin and Diver's Community CIC work with people experiencing homelessness to help restore their dignity and get them on a path to a brighter future. They're working to end homelessness across Birmingham and make sure everyone across the city feels heard.

    We're helping Malachi be the mentor that he needed growing up.

    Malachi and Ambitious Lives deliver tailored mentoring and training programmes for young vulnerable people at risk of exploitation.

    We're helping louis combat serious crime  amongst birmingham's youth.

    Through Winnr, Louis works with young people to empower them to live healthier lives with better choices turning them away from a life of serious crime. He's working to make sure no young life is wasted.

    We're helping Naseem build pathways to a better life.
