Music, Movement, and Meaningful Impact

A huge thank you to the Randal foundation in collaboration with LoveBrum, for funding 52 music and dance sessions for children with special educational needs (SEN) through Born 2 Sing.

These sessions supported 1,040 children, giving them the chance to express themselves creatively, build confidence, and socialise in a safe, nurturing environment.

With three trained team members per class, each session offered personalised attention and care – something families have described as a lifeline. Routine. Joy. Belonging. That’s what this funding has made possible for so many SEN families in Birmingham.

We’re proud to celebrate our Hidden Heroes and the incredible impact of this partnership.

Breaking the Cycle of Homelessness

Through the Randal Charitable Foundation’s partnership with LoveBrum, Standing Tall has been able to provide employment and housing opportunities to six people experiencing homelessness in Birmingham. Funding contributed to the salary of Joel Webster, Birmingham’s Talent Scout, who is working tirelessly to match individuals into stable jobs and safe homes. With 80% of those supported still off the streets and in employment after one year, this initiative is creating long-term, life-changing impact. One of those lives transformed is Emeka’s. Having fled political violence in Nigeria, Emeka faced uncertainty in Birmingham. But through Joel’s support, he secured a full-time role with Living Well UK – and today, he’s thriving. This is what real change looks like.

Thank you to all our partners for making this possible.

BIRMNGHAM HIPPODROME -
BREAK MISSION

At LoveBrum, we are proud to have supported Break Mission, a Birmingham-based community organisation that uses hip-hop culture to empower young people, support their fitness, and promote social good.

What Break Mission Does

Break Mission is a registered Community Interest Company (CIC) founded by David “Footloose” Russell and Justin “JustRoc” Lie. They run high-quality hip-hop events, educational programmes, and community initiatives that bring together dance, music, and art to celebrate culture and give back.
Their work is deeply rooted in social impact, they host events where people can donate clothes or food instead of paying an entrance fee, helping those in need.

The Break Mission & Hippodrome Partnership

In collaboration with Birmingham Hippodrome, Break Mission delivers AeroBreaks, a free weekly breakdance programme for young people aged 14–25.
Participants are given opportunities to perform at major events, such as the annual B-SIDE Hip-Hop Festival, which is co-produced by the Hippodrome and Break Mission.

The Break Mission Experience

Through structured workshops, performances, and battles, young people learn breakdance techniques, teamwork, and creativity, all in a safe, inclusive environment. Beyond dance, Break Mission’s philosophy centres on giving back: many of their community events encourage food and clothes donations, helping those experiencing homelessness.

Their work at Hippodrome also helps spotlight local talent, building a bridge between grassroots hip-hop and professional stage opportunities, and strengthening Birmingham’s cultural and creative community.
