Redirect is currently seeking passionate and experienced volunteers to support its programmes focused on agriculture, outdoor learning, and life skills development for young people.

Redirect works with children and young people through hands on activities that encourage confidence building, personal development, teamwork, and practical learning experiences in outdoor environments. Their programmes help young people develop important life skills while engaging with nature, agriculture, and wellbeing focused activities.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive difference by supporting young people during engaging educational and outdoor sessions, particularly throughout school holiday periods.

About the Role

Volunteers will support the delivery of practical and interactive activities linked to outdoor learning, agriculture, and personal development programmes.

Responsibilities may include:

• Supporting young people during activities and workshops
• Assisting with outdoor learning and environmental activities
• Helping deliver life skills and wellbeing focused sessions
• Encouraging participation, teamwork, and confidence building
• Assisting staff with the preparation and organisation of sessions
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment

The organisation is particularly interested in hearing from volunteers with experience or knowledge in agriculture, outdoor education, mentoring, youth work, or life skills development.

    Through F2D in the Community, Marc works with young brummies to grow their confidence, skills and aspirations steering them away from a life of serious crime and disadvantage. He's working to make sure young people reach their potential in life.

    We're helping Laura break the cycle  of knife crime .

    Laura and Alive Wellness Centre work with young people across Birmingham and the survivors of youth crime and violence heal, rebuild and thrive. She's empowering young people and creating brighter futures.

    We're helping Siraj address societal inequalities through the  power of sport.

    Through Birmingham United, Siraj provides safe and positive opportunities to young people to help them grow, feel empowered and build a brighter future.

    We're helping justin help vulnerable people rebuild  their lives one step at a time.

    Justin and Diver's Community CIC work with people experiencing homelessness to help restore their dignity and get them on a path to a brighter future. They're working to end homelessness across Birmingham and make sure everyone across the city feels heard.

    We're helping neelam make sure every voice is heard and every body is valued.

    Neelam and Cysters work with Brummies to close the gap in reproductive and mental health care and tackle social inequalities making sure no one is left without support.

    We're helping louis combat serious crime  amongst birmingham's youth.

    Through Winnr, Louis works with young people to empower them to live healthier lives with better choices turning them away from a life of serious crime. He's working to make sure no young life is wasted.

    We're helping Naseem build pathways to a better life.

    Alongside Better Pathways, Naseem provides skills and employment programmes for people experiencing mental health challenges throughout Birmingham.

    We're helping sharon get people back on THEIR FEET.

    At Tabor Living, Sharon provides accomodation and support for those experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
