We are looking for enthusiastic and community-minded volunteers to support a range of projects that help local families, children, and individuals experiencing food insecurity and social isolation.
From supporting our weekly Warm Welcome and Food Club sessions to helping with holiday activities for children and promoting our work online, there are a variety of ways to get involved. Whether you enjoy working directly with people, preparing food, organising activities, or supporting communications, we have flexible volunteering opportunities to suit different skills and interests.
Volunteer Opportunities May Include:
Warm Welcome & Food Club Volunteer
- Helping to sort, organise, and distribute food to local residents
- Supporting attendees during our weekly Warm Welcome sessions
- Providing a friendly and welcoming environment for visitors
- Tuesday mornings, 8:00am – 12:00pm
- Additional opportunity on Mondays, 9:00am – 10:30am, to help receive, sort, and store food deliveries
Cooking Volunteer
- Creating simple, nutritious meals using ingredients from our food baskets
- Preparing and sharing meals with attendees at our Warm Welcome sessions
- Inspiring others with affordable and creative meal ideas
- Tuesdays, approximately 8:30am – 11:00am
Promotion & Communications Volunteer
- Helping to raise awareness of our community activities and services
- Supporting the development and maintenance of our website
- Creating and managing content for social media channels
- Assisting with promotional materials and community engagement
- Flexible hours to suit the volunteer
Holiday Activities Volunteer
- Supporting our Easter and Summer holiday programmes for local children
- Helping to plan, prepare, and serve meals during activity sessions
- Working as part of a team to create a fun and welcoming environment
- Easter and Summer holidays, approximately 9:00am – 2:00pm, plus some planning time beforehand
- DBS check required
After-School Provision Volunteer
- Supporting children attending our after-school activities
- Helping with games, activities, and meal provision
- Creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment
- Weekdays, approximately 2:30pm – 5:00pm
- DBS check required
What We’re Looking For
- Friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic volunteers
- A willingness to support local families and communities
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A positive and flexible approach
- An interest in helping others and making a difference locally
No previous experience is required for most roles, and training and support will be provided where needed.

Additional Information
There are a range of volunteering opportunities available, with flexible commitments to suit different schedules and interests. Some roles involving children will require a DBS check, which will be arranged by the organisation.
