Immanuel Church Highters Heath runs a “Crafternoon” warm space, offering a welcoming and relaxed environment where people can come together to craft, meet new people, chat over a cup of tea, and learn new skills. It provides a friendly and inclusive space for the local community during term time.

We are looking for friendly and reliable volunteers to help support the running of these sessions. This is a great opportunity to get involved in a community-focused activity that helps create warmth, connection, and wellbeing for local residents.

Volunteer Duties May Include:

• Setting up the space with tables, chairs, and craft materials
• Preparing the kitchenette with cups, tea, coffee, milk, and sugar
• Serving refreshments during the session
• Providing a warm welcome to attendees
• Engaging with participants to help create a friendly and inclusive atmosphere
• Helping to clear away and tidy the space at the end of the session

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliability and a willingness to help
• An interest in community engagement and supporting others

No previous experience is required, and full support will be provided.

Additional Information

Sessions take place during term time on Wednesdays from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Volunteers are also needed approximately 30 minutes before and after each session to help with set-up and clear-down.
