Diver’s Community CIC supports vulnerable individuals across Birmingham, including people experiencing homelessness, rough sleeping, unemployment, and mental health challenges. Through outreach, practical support, and signposting, they help people overcome barriers and access the services and opportunities they need to move forward.
They are looking for compassionate and reliable volunteers to join their Community Outreach team every other Saturday in Birmingham city centre. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a direct difference to the lives of some of the city’s most vulnerable residents.
Volunteer Duties May Include:
- Taking part in community outreach activities across Birmingham city centre
- Building positive relationships with individuals experiencing homelessness or hardship
- Distributing survival kits and essential items to people in need
- Providing information, guidance, and signposting to relevant services
- Supporting individuals to access housing, healthcare, benefits, education, and employment support
- Assisting with community projects and awareness-raising activities
- Helping to promote the organisation’s work within the local community
- Supporting fundraising and engagement initiatives where appropriate
What We’re Looking For
- A friendly, approachable, and compassionate attitude
- Good communication and listening skills
- A genuine interest in supporting vulnerable people within the community
- Reliability and a willingness to get involved
- The ability to work respectfully with people from a range of backgrounds and experiences
- A proactive and positive approach
- Previous experience working with vulnerable individuals is welcome but not essential

Additional Information
Volunteers are asked to commit a few hours every other Saturday to support outreach activities in Birmingham city centre. Full guidance and support will be provided by the Diver’s Community CIC team.
