ACAA supports refugees and asylum seekers through a range of services designed to help individuals and families settle, connect, and thrive within their local community. Their services include ESOL classes, women’s empowerment sessions, an advice clinic, activities for children, and other community support programmes.

We are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate volunteers to support our work with refugees and asylum seekers. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive difference while helping people access vital services and opportunities.

Volunteer Duties May Include:

Supporting ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes

Assisting at the advice clinic

Helping with community outreach activities

Supporting women’s empowerment sessions

Assisting with activities for children

Welcoming and engaging with service users

Providing practical support to staff and participants

Helping with the organisation and delivery of sessions and activities

What We’re Looking For

A friendly, welcoming, and approachable attitude

Good communication and interpersonal skills

An interest in supporting refugees and asylum seekers

Reliability and a willingness to help

The ability to work respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds

A positive and inclusive approach

No previous experience is required, and support will be provided.
