In Unity We Rise CIC is looking for friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable volunteers to support the delivery of their Summer Club during the school holidays.

In Unity We Rise CIC provides activities and support for children, young people, and families within the local community, creating fun, safe, and welcoming spaces where everyone can take part, build confidence, and connect with others.

About the Role

As a volunteer, you will support a range of engaging activities and family sessions throughout the Summer Club programme. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same, helping to ensure activities run smoothly while creating a positive and inclusive experience for children and families.

Volunteers may help to:

• Support children to take part in activities, games, and creative sessions
• Assist with family sessions and wider community activities
• Help with setting up and packing away equipment and resources
• Welcome families and create a friendly, inclusive environment
• Support day trips and outdoor activities where required
• Work alongside staff and other volunteers to ensure sessions are safe, engaging, and enjoyable for everyone

The Ideal Volunteer Will Have:

• A positive, friendly, and approachable attitude
• Enjoyment of working with children and families
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• A willingness to support a variety of activities and get involved where needed
• An understanding of safeguarding, or a willingness to complete safeguarding training

All volunteers will be expected to follow In Unity We Rise CIC’s safeguarding procedures. Appropriate checks, including a DBS check where required, will be completed depending on the nature of the volunteer role.
