Home-Start Birmingham North West has been working in local communities since 1993, supporting families across Kingstanding, Oscott, Perry Barr, Sutton Four Oaks, Sutton Newhall, Sutton Vesey, and Sutton Trinity.

Home-Start Birmingham North West has been working in local communities since 1993, supporting families across Kingstanding, Oscott, Perry Barr, Sutton Four Oaks, Sutton Newhall, Sutton Vesey, and Sutton Trinity.

Home-Start supports families by matching them with trained volunteers who provide emotional and practical support in the family home. Alongside home-visiting support, the organisation also runs a range of groups, activities, and services for parents and their children to help build confidence, reduce isolation, and strengthen family wellbeing.

We are looking for caring and committed volunteers to support families in a variety of ways, including home visits, group support, and practical assistance within our service.

Volunteer Opportunities May Include:

• Visiting and supporting families in their own homes on a one-to-one basis
• Providing emotional and practical support to parents
• Supporting families to build confidence and resilience
• Assisting with group activities and community sessions for parents and children
• Helping with practical tasks such as administration, sorting donations, and general office support
• Supporting the delivery of family-focused services and activities

Full training and ongoing support will be provided to all volunteers.

Additional Information

This is a flexible volunteering opportunity, with a commitment of approximately 2 hours per week. The service operates Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. Volunteer roles will be matched based on availability, interests, and training.
