Meet the Team: Hannah Whiting
LoveBrum HQ is run by a small, but passionate, team – they’re the people behind everything you see from supporting our causes and fundraisers, to making sure you get the most out of your membership and managing our incredible events! Not just proud advocates of the city, our staff are passionate about delivering real change to Birmingham and are the glue that holds our LoveBrum family together.
The newest member of LoveBrum’s growing team is, Hannah, our Events and Marketing Executive.
Find out why Hannah loves Brum…
What’s your name, background and where are you based?
Hi I’m Hannah, Events & Marketing Executive at LoveBrum! I am responsible for coordinating a variety of very different events, ranging from our large annual fundraiser, to our members mingles. I also coordinate LoveBrum’s marketing and manage our social media accounts.
Born and bred in greater Birmingham (sunny Solihull!), I’m now based in the magical Jewellery Quarter.
Previously, I worked coordinating large trade shows for an independent buying group!
Why do you love Brum?
How could you not!? As a Brummie myself, it is so hard not to see the endless reasons why Birmingham is just so loveable. The diversity, culture, characters and unboundless amounts of energy! The possibilities seem endless for our beloved second city and we are going from strength to strength, with a rich history behind us.
Why do you enjoy working for LoveBrum?
Working for LoveBrum means I leave the office every single day feeling even more inspired and motivated than before. It is astounding how many incredible people donate their precious time to work towards a better future for our city. Each day is completely different and this gives me such a unique opportunity to meet so many people of all backgrounds.
Working for LoveBrum allows me to give a tiny fraction back to my beloved city and has opened my eyes to so many hidden-gem projects that are working tirelessly to make Birmingham even better.
What projects are you passionate about?
It is so hard not to say, ALL OF THEM! If I really had to choose, I am a huge huge animal lover (the kind that finds it almost impossible to walk past any animal without petting them). It is so important to help those without a voice and I can’t get over how many projects across Birmingham are helping so many different animals.
That being said, I love that as a charity we showcase so many different projects of all themes, so there really is something for everyone!
