LoveBrum Patron, Gymshark, Sponsors Sport Month

Fitness apparel brand, Gymshark, was created in 2012 by teenager, Ben Francis, and a group of his high school friends. The company has since grown from a garage operation to one of the fastest growing and most recognisable brands in fitness.

As proud advocates of Birmingham, Gymshark became Patrons of LoveBrum in 2018, keen to give back to the city and community that enabled them to start and continue their journey to success.

This month, Gymshark is the proud sponsor of LoveBrum’s sport month, which will showcase three hidden-gem projects within the city that aim to make sport inclusive and accessible for all.

Over the past year, Gymshark’s patronage has seen the company’s employees get involved in any way they can to support the charity with fundraising and volunteering. CEO, Steve Hewitt, and Chief Marketing Officer, Richard Chapple, ran the Simplyhealth Great Birmingham Run in October 2018 as part of Team LoveBrum and raised an incredible £5,000!


Gymshark was also keen to get involved in tackling homelessness in 2018 by supporting LoveBrum’s Bags for Brummies campaign. Their team came down to Millennium Point to help pack the hundreds of donated items into individual bags ready to be given out to the homeless at Christmas. Gymshark helped to make even more difference to this incredible cause by donating to cover the cost of the Christmas dinner with all the trimmings for guests to enjoy when they received their bag of essential items.
