Get involved with LoveBrum’s IMPACT WEEK
Over the past three years LoveBrum has supported many hidden gem projects and causes right here in Birmingham, providing monthly grants to projects chosen by our members, building awareness of the great work happening across our city as part of our monthly voting rounds, and providing support to small organisations who may not otherwise have the essential support to help them deliver their aims.
To celebrate and highlight all the great work LoveBrum has been a part of, we will be holding our first ever Impact Week, from 14th – 18th May 2018. During the week we will launch our impact report, and communicate the stories of the people who’ve benefited from LoveBrum’s support, demonstrating the impact LoveBrum has delivered in Birmingham.
You will see our launch campaign ‘Why I LoveBrum’ on social media during the next few weeks, featuring video clips from all sorts of people from all over Birmingham, telling us why they LOVE our city! We will also be revisiting some of the causes we’ve supported and hearing from them about how the money has made a difference to the great work they deliver.
Impact Week is your opportunity to get more involved in LoveBrum’s activities, through volunteering, raising money, or even just helping us spread the word about how LoveBrum has made a difference to local communities in Birmingham. We are asking you to do just one thing for LoveBrum during Impact Week, here are some ideas:
1. Hold your own Impact Week event in your workplace – perhaps a cake sale or dress down day
2. Donate a percentage of takings to LoveBrum during Impact Week
3. Pledge to volunteer for LoveBrum during Impact Week
4. Help us raise awareness of LoveBrum through social media
We hope that all these small activities and pledges will culminate in one big shout out for Brum, putting us on the map and raising awareness throughout the city, far and wide, of the great ways Birmingham people are working together to create a better city for all.
This is just the start. Over the next few years, we aim to grow Impact Week into a headline event here in Birmingham, where we hope to deliver tens, if not hundreds of small events and activities all raising the profile of, and raising money for, LoveBrum.
