Supporting LoveBrum at BYPY17
With only three weeks to go until BYPY, LoveBrum has announced the three local causes that will be supported by Future’s flagship event. Birmingham Centre for Arts Therapies, Balsall Heath Forum and Birmingham Sports & Education Foundation have been selected as LoveBrum’s chosen charities for the evening and will receive the proceeds from the raffle on the night.
First up is the Birmingham Centre for Arts Therapies. The registered charity provides accessible arts therapies and arts in health services throughout the Midlands, the UK, and extending to an international service. It assists children and adults who are experiencing mental health, behavioural or emotional issues.
The Balsall Heath Forum is the second charity that BYPY will be supporting. Twenty five years ago, the ‘Building a Better Balsall Heath’ campaign was created. The campaign was lead by representatives from a Mosque, Anglican and Methodist churches, Trade Unionists, and half a dozen residents.Together, they made progress in changing the image of the area, forming and representing the local voice, helping organise a mid-summer carnival, and starting and contributing to a community newspaper.
Finally, Birmingham Sports & Education Foundation will round off the trio, as a charity that utilises the power of sport to help improve the lives of the community, and provide them with numerous positive outcomes.
Money raised on the night will help these three fantastic local causes so, if you’re attending BYPY17 you already know that you’ll be making a huge difference. Whilst you countdown to the event, find out more about LoveBrum over on their website: www.lovebrum.org.uk.
