Congratulations February Winners

By Hannah Whiting

Throughout February, we showcased three amazing causes who all look after animals across Brum, helping to find forever homes for them, and educate the community about proper care.

We are so pleased to say we had a record number of votes across the board, topping the charts for the highest amount of votes received.

£2,000 winner – Kings Heath Cat Club

Kings Heath Cat Club rescues and rehabilitates stray, feral and abandoned cats across Birmingham.

They help hundreds of cats every single year, taking on abused, abandoned, stray and injured cats who often have lived on the streets for a long time. The dedicated team rehabilitates every animal, ensuring their clean bill of health and then rehoming them.

This £2,000 funding will help contribute towards their veterinary bills, helping to pay for vaccinations, neuteuring, blood tests, micro-chips and also food, litter and essential items.

£1,000 winner – Fat Fluffs

Fat Fluffs is a rescue and sanctuary based at Hampton in Arden, specialising in the care and rehoming of unwanted rabbits.

This funding will help to pay for ongoing vet bills, and for the neutering and vaccinating of animals that Fat Fluffs take in, and also for the long term rabbit residents, that cannot be re homed due to ongoing health issues.

£500 – The Healing Horse Sanctuary

The Healing Horse Sanctuary rescue horses, ponies and other animals in need of help and protection.

This funding will help fund equine therapy sessions for adults and children with various physical, emotional or mental health issues
