At Reconnected, they do things differently. They don’t believe in stereotypes or labels. Everyone they work with is unique, with their own aspirations, skills and experience. Reconnected’s aim is to provide service with dignity to people that are homeless.
Who are Reconnected?
Reconnected’s primary function is to provide housing, support, employability and development programme holistically tailored to individuals.Their service delivery is designed to use compassion and human connection to bring hope and opportunities to people in difficult situations. Reconnected work with some of the most vulnerable in our community.
Based in Lower Essex Street, Birmingham, their flagship facility hub is a supported living accommodation with 18 double bedrooms, each with its own en-suite, situated in the heart of Birmingham City Centre with direct bus and train links.
The people who are supported by Reconnected are usually on low income and don’t have enough to cover their needs. This is where Reconnected step in to bridge that gap, and one of the ways they do this is by providing a home start kit, which will enable beneficiaries to quickly settle into their new home with the provision of basic utensils needed, such as kettles, pots, pans and beddings.
If successful, what will you use your LoveBrum funding for?
With £2000 funding, it would mean that Reconnected could bulk purchase home starter kits for customers moving to independent living accommodation on completion of the Reconnected “Fresh Start Programme”.
