DMS Heart of England Music School (previously known as Dorridge Music School), based in South Birmingham is an independent music school founded 30 years ago.  Aiming to extend and outreach musical education to children and families, that may not otherwise have funding or access to music lessons in their curriculum.

Who are DMS Heart of England Music School?

The school was founded by Principal and Musical Director, Leigh Perry.  The school consists of a host of experienced teachers, some whom began as students of the school.

DMS Heart of England Music School offer a wide range of support mechanisms for the musical arts, including both group and individual tuition, teaching 4 year olds to adults, beginners to diploma level.  To the art of performance, accompaniment, composition and ensemble work.

Students also have the opportunity to showcase all their musical talent and hard work at their annual Spring concert at The Symphony Hall, Birmingham.

If successful, what will you use your LoveBrum funding for?

With the potential £2,000 provided by LoveBrum, DMS Heart of England Music School will purchase and supply eight new keyboards to underfunded and disadvantaged schools in the surrounding local area.

This will encourage and support students who may not have access to instruments, allowing them to practice and rehearse at school, in turn, furthering their musical education and creative skills!
