“They have saved many lives, the community first responders’
Arrive Alive funds equipment and lifesaving vehicles for medically trained volunteers in Birmingham, Solihull and the Black Country.
What is Arrive Alive?
Arrive Alive is the only registered charity in the UK solely dedicated to providing emergency medical response vehicles and equipment for medically trained volunteers in Birmingham, Solihull and the Black Country. Arrive Alive is a non government funded charity that supports life saving volunteers – Community First Responders who attend local medical emergencies. These unpaid volunteers are trained to attend 999 calls in those vital seconds/minutes prior to a road or air ambulance, saving many lives.
Founder of the charity, Debbie Roscoe, knows from first hand experience that those vital seconds can produce a different outcome when faced with a critical life threatening medical emergency. An Arrive Alive vehicle can arrive within those crucial seconds/minutes prior to a road or air ambulance to initiate lifesaving medical treatment.
Arrive Alive has been able to launch and fund three life saving vehicles within Birmingham, Solihull and the Black Country, each equipped liveried operational vehicle costs approximately £25,000. Funding is crucial to enable the expansion and development of the fleet of rapid emergency response vehicles to ensure lives can be saved.
If successful, what will you use your LoveBrum funding for?
Funding from LoveBrum will help contribute towards their first ever 4×4 emergency vehicle, which will be used for rough terrain, adverse weather conditions and transporting medical personnel to work as and when needed.
£2,000 would enable Arrive Alive to ensure a vehicle would be equipped with a terrafix to receive 999 calls from the ambulance service.
