Bags for Brummies 2022 is a wrap!
Thank you for everyone’s support…
Bags for Brummies 2022 has now officially ended, and we could not have done it without you- thank you!
Now on our 5th year with the campaign, we decided to make the campaign even bigger this year in light of the current cost of living crisis, by supporting SEVEN amazing projects – from those supporting the community through food banks, or offering a hot meal to those on the streets.
We were able to bring back physical bag packing to the campaign for the first time since 2019, and we were supported by an incredible team of volunteers who worked incredibly hard across two bag packing days.
A big thank you to John – James at Give Today, for their help again in facilitating this campaign for us, and to all at The Boutique Workplace for offering us the space to pack in. Dan McLeod, Commercial Manager for The Boutique had this to say:
Bags for Brummies 2022 was proud to support the following charities as part of our campaign: SIFA Fireside, Tabor House, St Anne’s Hostel, Helping Hands of Birmingham, St Basil’s, Kingfisher Foodbank, and Let’s Feed Brum. Over the course of the two bag packing days, we packed an incredible 400 bags to be delivered to these causes, with essential items such as sleeping bags, toiletries, and even cat and dog food, being purchased by our incredible supporters to help those in need this Winter.
Amount raised – £2821.70 Bags packed – 400 Bundles purchased – 150 Individual items purchased – 40
This campaign cannot happen without the generosity of Brum Businesses, Brum People and our community all coming together in times of need to support others, and Bags for Brummies has yet again proven that Birmingham, its people, and our community, stand tall and proud together.
