How can your business make a real difference to your local community?
Our patrons are at the forefront of LoveBrum – they’re our lifeblood to the charity. Their support allows us to function on a day-to-day basis, and in return, we provide businesses with a range of benefits. With a partnership approach, we offer a selection of benefits tailored to fit each individual’s needs and wants, find out more here. We love our patrons, and we do all we can to support their business and help contribute towards their CSR.
Meet Adam Thomspon…
What’s your background and where are you based?
Thompson & Co are a family run independent insurance broker based in Shirley, Solihull.
Why did Thompson & Co choose to become a patron?
Picking a charity for the business is actually quite difficult, with LoveBrum it ticked all the boxes. It’s a charity for charities, they are opening doors to people and charities that no one has heard of. I dare you to read the ‘cake lady’ story www.cakes4casualties.co.uk and not want to get involved!
Why do you Love Brum?
Quite simple really, my Grandad was a brummie, my Dad’s a brummie, I’m a brummie and my two boys are little brummies it’s in our blood. Supporting Birmingham City Football Club despite my doctors’ orders.
What projects are you passionate about?
I’m passionate about anything that involves ‘kindness’. I have been blown away by the charities LoveBrum have unearthed, I think it is incredible how far some people are willing to go with their own money and time. Homelessness is something that resonates with me, I find it genuinely difficult to walk past someone who is struggling, who might not have a home over their head or even a job. Helping the Homeless could be as simple as buying a cup of soup.
