Lifetrain-Cheque

Lifetrain works with young children and their families to help them learn about accident prevention and in turn helps minimise injuries, illnesses and deaths that needlessly happen to children who are unaware of the dangers everyday life can sometimes throw at them. By using a fun and interactive programme Lifetrain has helped hundreds of children over Birmingham develop the knowledge and skills to live life that little bit more safely.
We asked founder Jane Rashid a few questions…

What is Lifetrain?

Lifetrain CIC is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing injury prevention and first aid training. It began in 2000 and delivers a variety of programmes to children and adults in schools, children’s centres and community groups.

If successful what are you going to use your LoveBrum funding for?

If successful, we are going to use our LoveBrum funding to deliver the ELFS (Early Learning for Safety) Programme to 3-5 year olds in pre-school settings. This programme covers falls, choking and accidental poisoning, fire, burn and scalds, cuts, drowning and road safety.

What do you love about Birmingham?

We love Birmingham because it is OUR city! Brummies, born and bred, we have seen the transformation of the city to the exciting, modern and lively city centre that it now is, incorporating the Bull Ring and surrounding areas with its many shops, restaurants and places of interest.

Why should the LoveBrum community vote to fund Lifetrain?

PLEASE vote to fund Lifetrain as we want to reach as many 3-5 year olds as possible in delivering this fantastic programme which they love, we love and we are sure you would adore too!
